Meet Cedric, the newest member of my Doorstop Gang. With his dark face and legs, wonderfully woolly coat and slightly quizzical expression, Cedric has been designed to capture the unmistakable look of a Suffolk sheep. He may look rather cuddly, but at approximately 1.8kg he’s here to do a proper job, keeping doors open while looking very much at home beside them.

Every piece is handmade in my Somerset studio using carefully chosen materials and plenty of cups of tea.

Cedric’s wonderfully textured fleece is created using a mixture of acrylic yarn and recycled T-shirt fabric, giving him his distinctive woolly appearance. He’s carefully weighted with kiln-dried sand, securely enclosed in plastic and protected inside a strong calico bag.

Gifting Idea

Cedric makes a wonderfully unexpected gift for anyone who loves sheep, farming, the countryside or characterful handmade pieces for the home. He’s particularly at home in a country cottage, but he’s quite prepared to take up door-holding duties wherever he’s needed.

Spot clean with a damp cloth if required and leave to dry naturally. Do not machine wash or tumble dry.
